How We Help

We help families with newborns, toddlers and school aged kids through grade 5 have happier, healthier, more successful lives!

How do we do it? Most of the ways we help Moms, Dads, grandparents, kids and other care givers are listed right below. If you don't see what you need, contact us and we'll do our best to help or find someone who can.

STAR Parenting ClassSTAR Parenting

Understand your child’s development, have appropriate expectations, practice positive parenting, and use age-appropriate positive discipline techniques. S.T.A.R. helps parents and other care givers to S-stop, T-think, A-ask, and R-respond.

 

Parent and Child PlaygroupParent/Child Playgroup

Play with your child (children) during a fun-filled, planned event. This is a great opportunity for children and parents to make new friends. Grandparents and other care givers are welcome, too!

 

English as a Second Language ClassEnglish as a Second Language (ESL)

Learn to read, write and speak English in this self-paced class. Thanks to our partners at the Literacy Council of Brown County for their collaboration.

 

A New American!Citizenship Class

Find out what's required to become a citizen, prepare to take the written and spoken test and get help completing and filing the Citizenship application.

 

Sisters HugFamily Dinner Night

Each month families gather for fun, fellowship and good food with family activities and seasonal themes.

 

Check-out a wide range of books and toys that you can use at home to enhance your child’s learning. We have parenting books, too!

Who We Are

The Fort Howard Family Resource Center is a multi-lingual, multi-cultural center that helps parents, grandparents, children and care givers build stronger relationships with each other and with their community.

Call us at 920-448-2256 or stop by at 520 Dousman Street, Green Bay, WI 54305-0397 (enter on Chestnut Street).

Our normal Hours are Monday - Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Fridays 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

See our Calendar for exact program times. Programs are cancelled when the Green Bay Public schools are closed due to bad weather. For one-on-one help, please call for an appointment.
